Had the pleasure of having Santana lead singer Alex Ligertwood inthe studio today. He’ll be one the CD signing an original song. It’s gonna rock!!!
As we continue recording the CD we are planning on having some of the recording process be filmed along with interviews with the musicians that are taking part in this CD. This is going to be a very exciting process and I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is licensing a song from my CD “Guitarras De Navidad” for a compilation CD. My version of “We Three Kings” will be on the CD with other Christmas music by guitarists Jose Feliciano, John Bream, John Williams, Al DiMeola and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet among others. The CD will be released this Christmas! It is an honor to be included with such amazing company!

As this new CD of mine goes into its 4th year of production (!) we are finally starting to set schedules for the final round of tracking sessions. I just got off a video conference with my co-producer Chris Trujillo and we have set a schedule for the following four weeks.
We will be re-recording two songs from scratch and recording one brand new one. One of the re-records is a an original composition by myself, Jose Garcia and Pablo Correa. It’s an awesome song that will become a favorite I’m sure.
We’ve got some great musicians slated to record on this set of songs and I’m anxious to tell you who they are but we have to ink them first. I’ll just say that we are bringing some authentic East L.A. flavor to this CD! Stay tuned!

I will be turning it up to 11 when I return to perform at the the 2011 NAMM show! Look for me at the Shubb Capos booth on Sunday January 16th. Jose Garcia will probably be joining me along with some other special guests. If you are a music merchant or have other ways of getting in, don’t miss it!
